Welcome matt elmore!

Please help us welcome Matt Elmore to our full-time staff at Global!  Matt is already a familiar face to most, having served the past 3 summers at Global Youth Camps.  Known by most campers for his role as Super Duper this past summer, Matt is now joining our Program Team.  Matt's "Dream-It-Better" mentality is sure to make a difference!

MONTHLY free resource

This month's free resource is a sermon written by our own Roger Glidewell from Joshua 24 called "Preserving the Peace."  This sermon is a great way to remind students to be consistent in serving God not only in the good times, but also in the bad.  This sermon is just one sermon in a three month, verse-by-verse curriculum on the book of Joshua called Conquest.  Enjoy!

Download PDF of Sermon here.

**Be sure to visit www.globalyouthministry.org/jumpstart for more FREE resources.  In addition to our free resources, Global also provides verse by verse comprehensive Bible studies which are available on our online store for a nominal cost.  Each unit provides everything you need for one month of youth ministry!  Visit the church curriculum section of our site for great resources to teach Biblical truth to your teens!

REAGAN'S RECOMMENDATION
SIMPLE CHURCH BY THOM RAINER

Have you ever gotten to the point in your ministry where you think We have got too much going on?  Maybe you have four or more weekly programs going on and on top of that a million events for your students.  But at the end of the week or month you have no way of knowing if you are getting anywhere with this ministry you’re leading and all you know is you are tired.  Business does not always equal success.  We need to think strategy.  What are we trying to do?  Make Disciples.  Now how do we do that and move them from one level of maturity to another?  For one, cast off any program or events that aren’t moving your students along that journey.  Less really is more.

Thom S. Rainer has written another amazing book called “Simple Church”.  The book is full of research among churches and reveals the strategies of churches that are proving to be successful verses those that are just doing a lot of stuff.  It’s not a book trying to market a model of church, rather it is proposing a thought process and way of thinking strategically on how we do church.  Very good stuff!
