Founder and Executive Director
"Right now over 1/3 of the earth's population is youth age.  Soon that percentage will rise to more than
50% of the world's people!  2.1 billion youth are
without Christ.  Over 95% of all youth leadership resources are INSIDE the United States while over
95% of all youth are OUTSIDE the United States.
This is unacceptable.  Short term mission projects
are a part of the solution, but are insufficient to
develop and sustain indigenous movements to reach the youth of the nations.  Something must be done.
We believe the answer lies in mentoring indigenous youth LEADERSHIP among the people groups! That
is why the Institute exists, to help spread leadership resources into places where the need is so great!
The youth of the nations are worth the effort!"

Dr. Claytor grew up in Brighton, Alabama. After high school he enlisted for 4 years  in the U.S. Air Force where he worked on radar during the Vietnam war. Afterwards, he attended Toccoa Falls College majoring in Bible/Theology. He then went on to Southwestern Theological Seminary where he graduated with a master’s degree in pastoral ministry. In 1980 he graduated with the Doctor of Ministry degree in Church History and Evangelism. He has served 5 churches as a senior pastor and in 1990 he became a professor of theology at Toccoa Falls College where he taught for 16 years. In 2011, he would return from retirement to become the Dean of Students at the Global Institute.

Guest Lecturers

Founder and President, Growing Leaders

“This is a ministry that I am glad to partner with. Leaders are not raised up in masse, but through life on life mentoring relationships. In this post-modern world in which we live, youth workers long for an authentic relationship with someone who can speak into their life and help to navigate their ministry. I believe these kind of developmental relationships are our only hope of multiplying the workers we need to reach the world. Global Youth mentors will do just that.”

President Student Leadership University, Orlando FL

“To impact the world we must mentor the next generation of leaders. Roger Glidewell and his Global Youth Mentoring team are focused on achieving this goal, and I'm excited to partner with them as they send mentors across the world to build up the next wave of international Christian leadership.”

President and Founder of Reach Out Youth Solutions

“How unique and biblical to create an opportunity for youth pastors to mentor college students and then send them globally to mentor youth leaders in places where little or no youth ministry exists. That’s Roger’s vision and mine as well, so I’m delighted to join him in Global Youth Mentors.&rdquo

Co-founder of True Love Waits
Professor of Student Ministry
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

“I am pleased to help train Global Youth Mentors. While missionaries from the U.S. are precious and valuable to the kingdom, they cannot win all the young of the world to Christ. There just are not enough U.S. laborers to reach 2.1 billion lost youth. We must mobilize young adults in countries worldwide to evangelize and disciple the young in their own people groups. We must send trained and committed youth leaders in the U.S. and other nations who will travel to provide the only formal training experience many fresh youth leaders worldwide will receive. And we must do it now, before tender young hearts become cold to the gospel. This generation in this generation by this generation.”

Dean of Students
Midwestern Baptist College
President, FaithWorks! Ministries Inc.“The world we live in has reached a critical juncture in evangelism. Never before have so many opportunities been afforded and technologies provided to communicate the Gospel around the world with speed and clarity. The time has come for this new generation to step up and step out to make Jesus’ name famous in the nations.  It is our job as mentors to train these young believers to not only lead, but to lead with integrity.  Global is at the forefront of raising up a generation of standard bearers willing to proclaim the Gospel with boldness.  It is an honor to serve with Roger Glidewell and others who are committed to challenging and releasing young Christians to reach their peers around the globe with the Gospel!”
